- I called the 1-800 number today. When the girl said I would have to dial the
- 708 number, I kinda blew up. I told her that I had already spent over an hour
- on long distance hold, and would not spend another nickle, unless she gave me
- the number to the President/CEO of USR.
-
- She transfered me to "sales" whereupon I was asked for an "SR" number. I don't
- have one for this chip. I explained that I DID have one for the last revision,
- which I requested the same time I ordered this chip. After much key punching,
- he confirmed that I ordered the other chip on November 11, 1995. But the 33.6
- chip was placed on February 13, 1996. I explained AGAIN that I ordered them
- BOTH on the same day. He hem-hawed around and said the only thing he could do
- was to mark it "rush" so it would go out
-
- as soon as the next shipment of chips was received.
-
- Which could be anytime, within the next week to 2 months. As you can imagine,
- I was not a happy camper. I called Tom Potts, the man who issued the press
- release. I explained the situation, probably did no good. He assured me that
- USR does answer e-mail (yeah - right!) and can't understand why I'm upset since
- thay have not charged my account yet??? I'm sorry, but people who have ordered
- After I did, already have their chip. Yes, this makes me a bit angry.
-
- He said he would have a person from customer service call me, but my phone has
- remained silent..........
